Leeanna McKibben, MSN, RN, CENP
Leeanna McKibben, MSN, RN is the Chief Nursing Officer and Vice President of Patient Care Services at UPMC Mercy, a 495 bed Level One Trauma Center. Scope of oversight includes emergency services, burn, OB/NICU, behavioral health, pharmacy, case management, psychiatric services, quality, patient experience, infection control, regulatory, risk management, and patient safety.
Prior to this, she served as the Chief Nursing Officer and Vice President of Patient Care Services at UPMC McKeesport. As a member of the UPMC Shadyside Nursing Executive team, Leeanna served as a leader through two Magnet® designations. In addition to nursing, she has served in human resources and finance roles in her 19 years at UPMC. She has experience in the academic and community setting as well as the provider setting during her tenure at UPMC.
Leeanna holds adjunct faculty appointments at Chatham University and Community College of Allegheny County. She received her Masters in Nursing Administration and Leadership as well as her Bachelors in Nursing from Chatham University and her RN Diploma from UPMC Shadyside School of Nursing.
She is an active member of AONE, PONL, SWPONL and Sigma Theta Tau International. She is a 2013 Cameo of Caring Management Advanced Practice winner. Leeanna is a transformational leader and a passionate patient advocate with exceptional professional development skills.
